Lighting at Chirk Castle
We were asked to light two paintings and a display cabinet at this magnificent Welsh castle, now owned by the National Trust.
The Trust has recently reinstated the Bow Dining Room as a 1920’s room where visitors can relax and make themselves at home. The paintings of the last tenants of the castle, Lord & Lady Howard de Walden, on hire from the National Museum of Wales, needed a bit of extra lighting to stand out.
We built custom made mounts for LED lamps, which generate very little heat and no damaging UV light. We also hid dimmable LED lights in the display cabinet.
This castle is well worth a visit!
